March Events Scheduled to Enroll Uninsured Marylanders in Health Coverage

"HealthConnectNow!" Is a Series of Free Enrollment Events Sponsored by Maryland Health Connection to Enroll the State's Uninsured in Health Coverage by March 31 Deadline

BALTIMORE, MD -- (Marketwired) -- 02/28/14 -- Maryland Health Connection, the state's health insurance marketplace, is sponsoring a series of free events during March to enroll uninsured Marylanders in quality, affordable health coverage. Maryland Health Connection and the regional consumer assistance organizations will have certified representatives and other support staff on hand to answer questions, help attendees enroll, and see if they qualify for either financial assistance that would lower premiums and out-of-pocket costs or for Medicaid. Insurance carriers and authorized brokers will participate in the regional events as well.

Those enrolling in health coverage should bring the following:

  • Social Security numbers for all family members enrolling in coverage (or document numbers for any legal immigrants who need insurance)

Due of the rise of Hadoop, many enterprises are now deploying their first small clusters of 10 to 20 servers. At this small scale, the complexity of operating the cluster looks and feels like general data center servers. Once the decision has been made to move part or all of a workload to the cloud, a methodology for selecting that workload needs to be established. How do you move to the cloud? What does the discovery, assessment and planning look like? What workloads make sense? Which cloud model makes sense for each workload? What are the considerations for how to select the right cloud model? And how does that fit in with the overall IT transformation?

For better or worse, DevOps has gone mainstream. All doubt was removed when IBM and HP threw up their respective DevOps microsites. Where are we on the hype cycle?
