OSLO, Norway, March 2, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- A lot of people agree that health is the most important thing in life. Although the medicine has advanced remarkably over the last five decades, a lot of doctor still recommend for preventive cures instead of curative ones. Contrary to a lot of misconceptions, living a healthy life is more than just spending huge sums of money on expensive drugs, medical checks or medical consultations.

Health practitioners say that it is far cheaper to prevent an aliment before it happens compared to treating it. In addition to this, doctors also recommend diagnosis and treatment of diseases at an earlier stage. Although all these things may seem very simple, there are easier said than done. Preventing common diseases and also long term and serious health conditions can be achieved without necessarily taking any drugs. A lot of doctors observe that simple lifestyle decisions can help keep the society healthier and free from disease.

Some common health issues such as headaches can be treated with natural solutions instead of using a pain reliever. "Leger" Doctors say that the main cause of headaches is dehydration and the better solution is to drink water. Sleeping well and adequately is also a very important aspect of leading a healthy life. According to medical practitioners sleep is one of the best stress reliever. In addition to this, sleeping well and getting enough rest can help the body recover from simple health issues before they become serious problems. Doctors from Georgetown University look at rest as an ideal practice that helps the body heal itself and regain strength to fight off impending diseases.

While a lot of people may have different definitions of relaxation, the most important thing is give the body a break from its daily routine at least for one day. The debate on healthy living and what needs to be done to achieve it cannot stop unless matters of nutrition are factored in.  The body is defined by what it gets as food and based on this, doctors urge people to be weary of what they eat. Nutritional value in food intake is what matters. In addition to this, junk food and sugar based soft drinks are not recommended.

Brain activity is also crucial in keeping the body active. As much as rest is also very important, this does not necessary mean that people shouldn't work.  Medical expert note that staying busy helps to increase brain activity. This is very important in living an active healthy life they add. The extent healthy eating goes in promoting a healthy life cannot be underestimated. Taking a good and stronger breakfast is also a good way to help the body work at optimum level every day. Doctors note that a breakfast meal should be rich in protein and vitamins. Living a healthy life is easy provided people can get all the info they need to do it. Medical practitioners agree though that the level of awareness at the moment is good and the future is indeed looking bright.
