Nintex, the world leader in workflow software, today announced that its Nintex Workflow for Office 365 app has been named the winner in the People’s Choice, Most Interesting SharePoint Scenario and Most Downloaded SharePoint App categories at the 2014 SharePoint Conference App Awards. Another of Nintex’s cloud apps, Nintex Forms for Office 365, was also honored as a finalist in the People’s Choice category and placed third for Most Downloaded SharePoint App.
Held in conjunction with the Microsoft SharePoint Conference, the awards honor innovative and high-quality productivity apps dedicated to enhancing Microsoft Office or SharePoint. Nintex took home five prizes in three categories, with Nintex Workflow for Office 365 leading in each:
- Nintex Workflow for Office 365 won the People’s Choice category, with Nintex Forms for Office 365 awarded as a finalist
- Nintex Workflow for Office 365 won the Most Interesting SharePoint Scenario category
- Nintex Workflow for Office 365 won the Most Downloaded SharePoint App category, with Nintex Forms for Office 365 placing third
“We are incredibly honored to receive these awards, particularly the People’s Choice win since it was chosen by the SharePoint community,” said Ryan Duguid, vice president of product management at Nintex. “We are boosting innovation and adoption of cloud-based, on-demand solutions and are thrilled to be recognized as a leader in this space.”
Nintex Workflow for Office 365 enables users to scale and build advanced processes on a robust cloud platform accessible from a range of devices. Nintex Forms for Office 365 offers an easy-yet-powerful way to build and manage forms that can be used by anyone inside or outside of an organization. The apps let users, developers and IT professionals automate workflows quickly and easily while maintaining power and manageability. Solutions can be built in a browser using a familiar drag-and-drop experience.
The People’s Choice category honored the app that received the most votes from SharePoint Conference attendees during the voting period, which lasted from Feb. 18 to Feb. 28, 2014. Nintex Workflow for Office 365 was named the winner after the category was narrowed down to four finalists chosen by voters from out of the more than 200 total contest entries. Nintex Forms for Office 365 was also a finalist in the People’s Choice category.
The Most Downloaded SharePoint App category was based on the objective number of user downloads from the entire Microsoft SharePoint store during the voting period. The Most Interesting SharePoint Scenario category was selected by a panel of Microsoft judges, which based its decision on two criteria: 75 percent on the app’s relevance to the platform and 25 percent on app performance.
“It’s such an honor to come out on top for our work in the cloud space,” said Mike Fitzmaurice, vice president of product technology at Nintex. “We pushed hard to innovate in the cloud and get our apps into the Microsoft SharePoint store first—and in the process proved what can be done on the cloud app model. These awards emphasize our ongoing dedication to the Office 365 platform and to delivering workflow for everyone, everywhere.”
Yesterday, Nintex announced that more than 1,000 customers are now using its cloud services.
