DENVER, CO -- (Marketwired) -- 03/10/14 -- Todd Mitchem, chief revenue officer of O.PenVAPE, the nation's largest cannabis brand, will moderate a panel of experts at the Northeast CannaBusiness Symposium, 9:20am to 10:50am on Saturday, March 15, Courtyard Boston Downtown, 275 Tremont St., Boston, MA 02116.
The event is produced by the National Cannabis Industry Association and the panel discussion will focus on the testing and extraction science of cannabis. Mitchem was chosen not only because he represents O.penVAPE but because he has participated in and moderated many panel discussions during his career as a corporate leader prior to making the switch to the cannabis industry.
"I am very proud of the work of the NCIA. The fact that they have invited me to moderate this expert panel is humbling. This is an important forum for O.penVAPE and those who want to learn about the cannabis business", noted Mitchem.
Known as the "Google of Cannabis," O.penVAPE is the market leader in the manufacture of medicinal and recreational cannabis oils which it produces through affiliates using CO2 extraction or Supercritical Fluid Extraction (SFE). Since February 1, 2014, O.penVAPE sells four-to-five units every minute of every day at $25 to $55 each. While in Massachusetts, Todd also will be talking with potential licensees in the state who wish to license the O.penVAPE brand.
"As Massachusetts continues to prepare for cannabis use and regulations, there are many entrepreneurs interested in the CO2 extraction process, which is the most natural and effective way to extract beneficial oils from plant matter," Mitchem said. "O.penVAPE sees great potential here."
Mitchem said O.PenVAPE, as the market leader, has established networks with successful licensees in Colorado, Washington and California, with Oregon beginning operations soon. O.penVAPE is poised to develop partnerships as soon as possible in Massachusetts. Mitchem will be conducting meetings to vet O.PenVAPE business licensees in the state.
"As the national leader, we have the systems, structures, leadership and professional outlook in place to ensure the success of our affiliates," Mitchem said. "We understand the importance of communicating that cannabis use is an adult product that should be used responsibly, so its medicinal and recreational benefits can be put to good use."
O.penVAPE is the largest national cannabis brand in the United States and has been featured on CNN, CNBC, The Wall Street Journal, and many news outlets around the world. O.penVAPE, through affiliates licensed to sell its cannabis filled cartridges, vaporizer devices and related products, distributes is products for use with cannabis oil in states that have legalized cannabis sales. O.penVAPE, with branding licensing agreements, distributes its products to legally authorized cannabis operators around the United States. With the tag line, "It's what's inside that counts," O.PenVAPE leverages knowledge from it's affiliated Colorado-based labs, Organa Labs and Bakked. These two state-of-the-art cannabis oil extraction facilities extract cannabis oil and fill cartridges for the Colorado market. The knowledge gained by these organizations is then shared with branding licensees nationwide who, with authorization from their respective states, also extract, fill, package and distribute O.penVAPE branded products in their states. Some developers believe that monitoring is a function of the operations team. Some operations teams firmly believe that monitoring the systems they maintain is sufficient to run the business successfully. Most of them are wrong. The complexity of today's applications have gone far and beyond the capabilities of "traditional" system-level monitoring tools and approaches and requires much broader knowledge of business and applications as a whole. The goal of DevOps is to connect all aspects of app...

When an enterprise builds a hybrid IaaS cloud connecting its data center to one or more public clouds, security is often a major topic along with the other challenges involved. Security is closely intertwined with the networking choices made for the hybrid cloud. Traditional networking approaches for building a hybrid cloud try to kludge together the enterprise infrastructure with the public cloud. Consequently this approach requires risky, deep "surgery" including changes to firewalls, subnets...

DevOps is all about agility. However, you don't want to be on a high-speed bus to nowhere. The right DevOps approach controls velocity with a tight feedback loop that not only consists of operational data but also incorporates business context. With a business context in the decision making, the right business priorities are incorporated, which results in a higher value creation. In his session at DevOps Summit, Todd Rader, Solutions Architect at AppDynamics, discussed key monitoring techniques...

The security devil is always in the details of the attack: the ones you've endured, the ones you prepare yourself to fend off, and the ones that, you fear, will catch you completely unaware and defenseless. The Internet of Things (IoT) is nothing if not an endless proliferation of details. It's the vision of a world in which continuous Internet connectivity and addressability is embedded into a growing range of human artifacts, into the natural world, and even into our smartphones, appliances, a...

The Internet of Things is tied together with a thin strand that is known as time. Coincidentally, at the core of nearly all data analytics is a timestamp. When working with time series data there are a few core principles that everyone should consider, especially across datasets where time is the common boundary. In his session at Internet of @ThingsExpo, Jim Scott, Director of Enterprise Strategy & Architecture at MapR Technologies, discussed single-value, geo-spatial, and log time series dat...

How do APIs and IoT relate? The answer is not as simple as merely adding an API on top of a dumb device, but rather about understanding the architectural patterns for implementing an IoT fabric. There are typically two or three trends: Exposing the device to a management framework Exposing that management framework to a business centric logic Exposing that business layer and data to end users. This last trend is the IoT stack, which involves a new shift in the separation of what stuff happe...
