The Chinese Automotive Supplier Report

LONDON, March 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Reportbuyer.com just published a new market research report:

The Chinese Automotive Supplier Report

The Chinese Automotive Supplier Report looks at the economics of the automotive industry in China, particularly relating to the supply base. It provides an overview of the macroeconomic environment including vehicle sales, production, imports and exports. In addition, the report looks at OEMs' activity, relations with the supply base. This research utilises IHS Automotive's Light-Vehicle Production Forecasts; the industry standard for automotive forecasting and analysis.
The report also includes an appendix of 213 supplier profiles from China-based suppliers or the Chinese operations of global suppliers. These profiles provide you with relevant data on corporate strategy, investments, product offerings and contact information all built from SupplierBusiness research. Certain profiles also map out relevant automotive manufacturing and R&D locations for the supplier.

Background to this report

The Chinese car market experienced one of the most accelerated expansions ever recorded in the history of the automotive industry, having achieved a six-fold growth over the last decade. In 2002, about 3.3 million cars and light commercial vehicles were sold in China, while in 2012 this figure rose to about 19 million units. Much of this growth is concentrated in the two-year period from 2009 to 2010; two stellar years for the market, as it effectively doubled from levels of eight million in 2008 to over 17 million in 2011 driven by various stimuli. China has emerged as the world's largest car market as a result of this tumultuous two years of new record sales, surpassing the US market, which at the time had just undergone one of the major setbacks in its history.

Wearable devices have come of age. The primary applications of wearables so far have been "the Quantified Self" or the tracking of one's fitness and health status. We propose the evolution of wearables into social and emotional communication devices. Our BE(tm) sensor uses light to visualize the skin conductance response. Our sensors are very inexpensive and can be massively distributed to audiences or groups of any size, in order to gauge reactions to performances, video, or any kind of present...
The true value of the Internet of Things (IoT) lies not just in the data, but through the services that protect the data, perform the analysis and present findings in a usable way. Over the years, a variety of methodologies have emerged in order to overcome the challenges related to project constraints. The successful use of each methodology seems highly context-dependent. However, communication seems to be the common denominator of the many challenges that project management methodologies intend to resolve. In this respect, Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) can be viewed as powerful tools for managing projects. Few research papers have focused on the way...
As the world moves from DevOps to NoOps, application deployment to the cloud ought to become a lot simpler. However, applications have been architected with a much tighter coupling than it needs to be which makes deployment in different environments and migration between them harder. The microservices architecture, which is the basis of many new age distributed systems such as OpenStack, Netflix and so on is at the heart of CloudFoundry – a complete developer-oriented Platform as a Service (PaaS...
In high-production environments where release cycles are measured in hours or minutes — not days or weeks — there's little room for mistakes and no room for confusion. Everyone has to understand what's happening, in real time, and have the means to do whatever is necessary to keep applications up and running optimally. DevOps is a high-stakes world, but done well, it delivers the agility and performance to significantly impact business competitiveness.
