Point Park University News Service and The Press Club of Western Pennsylvania Invite Members and Guests to a Free Program

PITTSBURGH, March 11, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Point Park University News Service and The Press Club of Western Pennsylvania invite members and guests to a free program on Thursday, March 27, featuring Pulitzer Prize winning Philadelphia Daily News reporters Wendy Ruderman and Barbara Laker, authors of "Busted:  A Tale of Corruption and Betrayal in the City of Brotherly Love."

They will offer an account of the largest case of police corruption in Philadelphia's history.  It involved drugs, power and abuse by rogue officers, which Ruderman and Laker learned about from a confidential informant.  Their reporting ignited an FBI investigation, stunned the city of Philadelphia and earned them the 2010 Pulitzer Prize for investigative reporting.

The presentation will begin at 5:30 p.m. in JVH Auditorium, second floor Thayer Hall at Point Park, 201 Wood St., Downtown.  "Busted" is available for purchase at the Point Park University Bookstore, and the authors will be signing the books that evening.  Refreshments will be served.

Please RSVP by Monday, March 24, to [email protected].
