Today, Mind Pirate, an innovative wearable technology company, launched Global Food Fight; the first game to be designed for and simultaneously released on Google Glass and iPhone. Global Food Fight is a free-to-play massively-multiplayer, location-based 3D action game that allows players to engage in food fights with friends, foes, celebrities and politicians from around the world. Players will launch squishy tomatoes, gooey cream pies, frosted doughnuts and more in their quest to become the Undisputed Food Fight Champ. From Boston to Beijing and Miami to Madrid, the game’s GPS-based Mini Map shows a player’s location, making it fun to challenge anyone, anytime, anywhere in the world! Global Food Fight is the first app created using the company’s wearable technology platform, Callisto. Callisto is the first and only platform that gives developers the tools to rapidly build engaging experiences that are optimized for leading wearable devices. Callisto apps are interactive experiences that can be started and continued across device types with information preserved in the cloud. These experiences are designed to fully exploit the unique capabilities of next-generation mobile wearable devices, such as Google Glass and other Smart Glasses and Smart Watches.
Callisto is not limited to creating game experiences and is already in use by select 3rd party mobile developers in the ideaBOOST/Mind Pirate Wearable Production Lab. Callisto will be made available to both Enterprise and Consumer developers in 2014.

Global Food Fight uses multiple sensors – including the gyroscope, GPS, accelerometer, compass, camera, haptic feedback and touchscreen – to guide players through iconic settings such as San Francisco, London and New York. A globally and socially connected game, Global Food Fight encourages players to challenge and boast to their Facebook and Twitter friends as they compete in timed turn-based play. In order to become the Undisputed Food Champ, one must defend their neighborhood from the menace of flying food by enlisting defenses like Cool Cupcake Cannons, Nut-Throwing Squirrels, Feisty Lawn Gnomes and Kamikaze Canaries. Almost 100 different unlockable defense layouts are available for players to choose to help keep their neighborhood safe and protect their position atop the social leaderboard.
Currently five companies are participating in the ideaBOOST/Mind Pirate Production Lab and have access to Callisto. These teams are focused on creating games and other apps for Google Glass, and they will be released in early 2014.
