"SKYN Link" Connects Facebook Friends Looking to Take Their Relationship to the Next Level

ISELIN, N.J., March 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Ansell, a global leader in protection solution and the makers of LifeStyles SKYN Condoms, today announces the launch of a social media app that will help users escape the "friend zone" and enter the "SKYN Zone." SKYN Link allows users to anonymously choose the Facebook friends they would like to explore a deeper relationship with, invite them to "Hook Up," and discreetly discover if those Facebook friends feel the same way.

After downloading the app, to put SKYN® Link into action, users will sign into their Facebook accounts and a list of all their Facebook friends will generate. Users then scroll through the list to select the friends they might want to "Hook Up" with.  If the friend doesn't already have the SKYN Link app, you can invite them anonymously or through social networks. All anonymous invites are sent from a SKYN Link email address, noting that someone is asking to "Hook Up," and advising the invitee how to download the app to find out if there is a connection. If someone you chose to "Hook Up" with also selects you, a private chat will open, allowing an open dialogue to take your Facebook friendship to the next level.

Unlike similar location-based apps, SKYN Link helps users build meaningful relationships with someone within their circle of known friends, which should hopefully lead to a deeper relationship. The app is also unique in that it offers complete anonymity; the Facebook friend you request to "Hook Up" with will never know you selected them unless they select you as well.

The app, created by Bethink, is now available in Apple's App Store and on Google Play, and is compatible with iOS and Android devices. In addition to the SKYN® Link app, a mobile website (www.skynlink.com) is available to anyone with Internet access and a Facebook account, as well as Internet-enabled cell phones.
