SOUTHLAKE, Texas, March 19, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Sabre, a global travel technology company, and ZoomAndGo have signed an agreement to offer travel agents an innovative, map-based hotel shopping and booking solution that will integrate fragmented hotel content into an easy to use interface and make comparison shopping easier.
As an integrated solution within the Sabre system, ZoomAndGo will allow agents to easily shop all the rates for a single property from Sabre and other content sources. In addition, agents will be able to filter for agency and corporate customer preferred hotels, maximizing profitability and program compliance.
"Our agreement with ZoomAndGo is a great example of how we are partnering with third party innovators to deliver unique value to travel suppliers and buyers," said Shelly Terry, vice president of supplier merchandising – Sabre Travel Network. "Travel buyers have more choice and transparency and can easily find the best hotel to meet both the traveler's preference and the corporation's needs. At the same time, hoteliers have more ways to merchandise their products in Sabre that promote their brand, property attributes and offerings to travel buyers."
With ZoomAndGo's advanced map-based search capabilities, travel agents will be able to search any destination in the world by street address, neighborhood, airport code and local attractions. In addition, they can instantly sort search results by chain, price, amenity or other criteria to find the perfect hotel quickly.
"Partnering with Sabre gives us an opportunity to expand our reach further into the travel marketplace," said Jonathan Haldane, ZoomAndGo CEO. "The integration of our technology into Sabre means increased profitability and productivity for agencies."
The solution will integrate with and supplement existing Sabre Red Workspace hotel shopping and booking processes, maintaining agent efficiency and productivity and allowing for post-booking processing and data capture.
"We continually work with technology partners like ZoomAndGo to extend the Sabre marketplace. With new opportunities such as these, travel suppliers have even more access to the 400,000 travel buyers around the world who influence more than $100 billion in travel spend annually," said Terry.
Sabre will test the solution with selected travel agencies before introducing it to customers globally. ZoomAndGo won a technology innovation award at Sabre's 2013 Travel Technology Exchange conference in New Orleans.
ZoomAndGo is an internationally focused travel technology company that has created a unique map based hotel shopping and booking platform that makes destination the focus of search. It allows a travel agent to highlight, compare and book preferred hotels from multiple sources on one screen. In just seconds, travel agents worldwide can now provide the best possible hotel offering for their customers. http://zoomandgo.com/

The term culture has had a polarizing effect among DevOps supporters. Some propose that culture change is critical for success with DevOps, but are remiss to define culture. Some talk about a DevOps culture but then reference activities that could lead to culture change and there are those that talk about culture change as a set of behaviors that need to be adopted by those in IT. There is no question that businesses successful in adopting a DevOps mindset have seen departmental culture change, ...

In addition, as more internet-enabled ‘Things' get connected, people will rely on DNS to name and find their fridges, toasters and toilets. Acco...
