Richard Bagnall Joins PRIME Research Global Leadership Team

Industry Thought-Leader Appointed CEO of PRIME Research UK

NEW YORK, March 20, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- PRIME Research announced today the appointment of Richard Bagnall as Chief Executive Officer of PRIME Research UK where he will focus on developing the firm's domestic and international client portfolio from its offices in Oxford. Bagnall has 18 years of experience advising clients on the best ways to measure the effectiveness of PR and prove its value to the organization.

Prior to joining PRIME, Bagnall was a founding director of international specialist insights business Metrica.  Metrica, founded in the 1990s, was sold to Gorkana in 2009 where Bagnall worked for a further four years as managing director of the global media insights division. He left in 2013.

Bagnall is a board director of AMEC (the International Association for the Measurement and Evaluation of Communications) where he chairs its social media measurement committee. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations' (CIPR) social media panel, leading its work on social media measurement. In 2013 he was appointed as an adviser to the UK Government's Cabinet Office where he is an active member of the Cabinet Office Evaluation Council. Prior to joining the evaluation council, Richard was one of three external reviewers commissioned to conduct a full review of the UK Government's digital communications capabilities and co-authored guidelines on which all government digital communications strategy for the next few years will be based.

Prior to his career in PR measurement and insights, Bagnall worked in public relations, both in house for medical charity the Royal College of General Practitioners, and also for Saatchi and Saatchi's PR business, The Rowland Company.
