Ketchum Captures PRWeek's 2014 Campaign of the Year Award, Marking Unprecedented Fourth Win

Firm Wins Honorable Mention for Large Agency of the Year

NEW YORK, March 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Ketchum, a leading global public relations firm, and its work on behalf of Gillette was awarded Campaign of the Year at the 15th-annual PRWeek Awards held last night in New York City. This is the fourth time Ketchum and its clients have received this honor, making it the only firm that has achieved this distinction. In addition to the top award, the agency also received three awards and three honorable mentions for its work on behalf of its clients, and the firm also received the honorable mention in the Large Agency of the Year category.

"We're honored to be recognized alongside Gillette with PRWeek's Campaign of the Year award. This distinction is a testament to the partnerships we have with our clients, as well as the dedication and creativity of our account teams. These collaborations allow us to make a measurable impact on our clients' businesses and deliver break through results," said Rob Flaherty, senior partner, CEO and president of Ketchum.

Of Ketchum and Gillette's Campaign of the Year win, PRWeek editor Steve Barrett noted, "It's not easy to get people to talk about shaving. However, with a powerful and engaging initiative befitting of Superman himself, Ketchum and P&G/Gillette soared above the competition to capture tonight's highest honor." Further, a PRWeek Awards judge noted, "Fully integrated and breakthrough, this campaign made great use of paid, owned, shared, and owned, but did so in an insight-based, smart, and strategic way."

"For over 25 years we have been working with a lot of enterprise customers and we have seen how companies create applications. And now that we have moved to cloud computing, mobile, social and the Internet of Things, we see that the market needs a new way of creating applications," stated Jesse Shiah, CEO, President and Co-Founder of AgilePoint Inc., in this SYS-CON.tv interview at 15th Cloud Expo, held Nov 4–6, 2014, at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, CA.
You use an agile process; your goal is to make your organization more agile. But what about your data infrastructure? The truth is, today's databases are anything but agile - they are effectively static repositories that are cumbersome to work with, difficult to change, and cannot keep pace with application demands. Performance suffers as a result, and it takes far longer than it should to deliver new features and capabilities needed to make your organization competitive. As your application an...

What do a firewall and a fortress have in common? They are no longer strong enough to protect the valuables housed inside. Like the walls of an old fortress, the cracks in the firewall are allowing the bad guys to slip in - unannounced and unnoticed. By the time these thieves get in, the damage is already done and the network is already compromised. Intellectual property is easily slipped out the back door leaving no trace of forced entry. If we want to reign in on these cybercriminals, it's hig...
More and more file-based and machine generated data is being created every day causing exponential data and content growth, and creating a management nightmare for IT managers. The Internet of Things will greatly expand the opportunities for data collection and new business models driven off of that data. In her session at @ThingsExpo, Esmeralda Swartz, CMO of MetraTech, discussed how for this to be effective you not only need to have infrastructure and operational models capable of utilizing this new phenomenon, but increasingly service providers will need to convince a skeptical public to participate.
