KENOSHA, Wis., March 21, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- With young people in need positive role models today, perhaps more than ever before, it takes a unique voice to rise above the many mixed messages kids receive on a daily basis. The social lives of young people can be especially fraught, with peer pressure and bullying among some of the top concerns of parents and educators. One man with the courage and experience to teach and inspire others is making his way back to Kenosha this spring.
Palmen Auto Stores, a leading area automotive group, will be sponsoring the "Walk This Way" program, developed and created by Ron "Ronnie" Bachman. At the age of four, both of Bachman's legs were amputated due to a genetic condition, but he didn't allow that to stop him from living a rich, fulfilling life. Now he travels the country spreading his message of acceptance and positivity to students, employees, and community members.
Not only will Ron present his unique and inspiring program at a number of area schools throughout the first week of April, but he'll also be giving a presentation that's free to the public on Thursday, April 3 at 6:30 p.m. The event will be held at the Palmen GMC Buick dealership at 7110 74th Place in Kenosha, and attendees are encouraged to arrive early to secure a good seat.
