JACKSONVILLE, Fla., March 21, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Cork Industries today introduces Wheel-eez™ Wheel Cleaners, a high-performance line of noncorrosive, nonflammable, biodegradable wheel cleaners. Specific formulations have been developed for commercial car washes (Wheel-eez Car Wash), automobiles (Wheel-eez) and motorcycles (Wheel-eez Motorcycle). Run-off from wheels washed with Wheel-eez wheel cleaners will not harm soil, plants, concrete or metal.
Many of today's leading wheel cleaning products contain sodium hydroxide, hydrochloric acid or sulfuric acid which attack concrete and metal and are very dangerous to those that work with or near these substances. Leveraging its chemistry expertise, Cork was able to develop a proprietary formula that could clean dirt, grime and brake dust just as well but without the harmful effects.
A 'super-concentrate' was developed to work with car wash chemical tire applicators and less concentrated mixtures were developed for detailers and do-it-yourself car and motorcycle enthusiasts. "Chemicals play a bigger role in society today than many people realize," said Frank McDonnell, Cork Industries CEO. "It is incumbent upon those of us in this business to develop products that are effective, but safe for end users and the environment. As with our coatings and adhesives, Wheel-eez wheel cleaners will bring needed change."
After a year of car wash and consumer testing, Wheel-eez Car Wash is being introduced at the International Car Wash Show March 31 - April 2 in Chicago. Wheel-eez and Wheel-eez Motorcycle are available at www.wheel-eez.com as well as www.amazon.com.
