PITTSBURGH, March 24, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- United States Steel Corporation (NYSE: X) today announced that Suzanne Rich Folsom, general counsel and senior vice president – governmental affairs, has been named Leader of the Year at the 2014 Women in Compliance Awards in London. Folsom was honored for her body of work in corporate governance and compliance.

Throughout her career Folsom has worked in multiple organizations to transform their legal and compliance programs into gold standards for their respective industries.
Both she and the legal and compliance programs which she has led have previously been recognized by Corporate Secretary Magazine, Inside Counsel Magazine, Ethisphere Institute and the Washington Metropolitan Area Association of Corporate Counsel for their contributions and innovation in the area of corporate governance and in-house legal matters.
