AUTEC GmbH to Sell and Integrate Fujitsu’s PalmEntry Physical Access Control Systems on Global Basis

Fujitsu Frontech North America Inc., a leader in innovative technology and front-end solutions, announced today that AUTEC GmbH, a global leader in OEM hardware and software solutions for the physical security market, will become a value-added integrator for components of Fujitsu’s PalmEntry™ physical access control management systems. AUTEC GmbH OEM security solutions include physical access control, video surveillance, time and attendance and building automation systems that are scalable from entry level up to enterprise level solutions.

AUTEC GmbH will be demonstrating an International airport employee gate access solution based on PalmSecure® biometric technology, called XMP-PalmCom, in the Fujitsu booth #7054 at ISC West 2014. This highly secure physical access solution uses dual authentication and 256-bit encryption to provide a robust “spoof-proof” solution for enhanced airline security. In addition, AUTEC GmbH’s North American reseller, iDor Security Solutions, will be demonstrating XMP-PalmCom in their booth #13127.

A major differentiator of the AUTEC solution is the use of the Fujitsu biometric sensor for authentication. The Fujitsu sensors use a near-infrared light to capture a user’s palm vein pattern, generating a unique biometric template that is matched against the palm vein patterns of pre-registered users. Unlike other readers, the PalmSecure device does not come into contact with the hand, making it extremely hygienic, non-intrusive and unrestricted by external factors such as skin types and conditions. AUTEC GmbH’s XMP-PalmCom system utilizes Fujitsu’s SDK library, PalmSecure sensor and controller. The XMP-PalmCom uses the highest level of encryption standards like AES and Blowfish 256-bit encryption between the access controller and palm controller to ensure the security of the user’s biometric information. To enhance the acceptance of their solutions on a global basis, AUTEC GmbH has received ISO 9001, RoHS, CE and UL certifications.
