Inofile Awarded Patent for Data Capture and Structuring Methodology

Inofile announced today it has been awarded a patent titled Data Capturing and Structuring Method and System.

US Patent 8,682,993 was issued on March 25 and covers specific types of subnetworks involving simple devices, including the methodologies by which information is structured within and subsequently communicated between the devices, including the translation engine. A summary of the patent can be found on the United States Patent and Trademark Office website.

“This validates our belief that Inofile will transform the healthcare industry through technology that enables all members of the healthcare continuum to create, access and share digital patient information,” said Therasa Bell, president, chief technology officer and the inventor of this patent. “Specifically, the patent details how simple, disparate devices that weren’t participating in healthcare can now contribute to and elevate patient care.”

“This is a substantial step for our ongoing patent acquisition strategy,” said Jon Elwell, CEO, Inofile. “It reinforces Inofile’s healthcare technology leadership and our commitment to innovation as we create vital links to simplify healthcare. We’re dedicated to completing the patient record by creating lightweight, interoperable solutions that make the exchange of digital patient information accessible to every patient care setting.”
