GURGAON, India, March 27, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
Freeing 20 Acres of Undisturbed Garden for the Residents and Especially for the Children
With a track record of leading the way in defining luxury lifestyles, Central Park II, a high-end residential development spread over 50 acres, houses 1,850 condominiums in 29 towers. Its most unique feature is that the towers are arranged along the property's periphery, leaving in the centre a 20-acre, unspoiled green vista.
As befits a luxury condominium, the entrance to Central Park II is resplendently lined with palm trees and spectacular water features. Yet, what sets it apart is a state-of the-art tunnel, just after the entrance gates.
In order to keep its 20-acre expanse of green free from cars, Central Park II has invested an additional US$10 million in this tunnel that leads to an underground road network which connects with the lobbies of each residential tower. Since all traffic is routed underground, residents have an uninterrupted 20 acre car-free landscaped green vista at ground level. Moreover, the guests of the residents will be escorted by especially trained hospitality staff in zero emission Electric Golf Carts to the respective lobby of the tower, where they are received by the concierge, so that they can reach their planned destination conveniently.
The benefits of green infrastructure within built environments are compelling. A recent study of over 350,000 people by the UK government found that those who lived around green spaces lived longer, happier and healthier lives. Both - visual access and being within a green space - are seen to help restore the mind's ability to focus and alleviate mental fatigue by relaxing the mind. This is believed to lead to improved performance - be it on the job or at school, and to significantly lower stress levels. Additionally, a new study at the European Centre for Environment and Human Health, which followed 1,000 subjects over a five-year period, suggests that an increase in the green space in a person's surroundings might be one of the key conditions that affect one's state of happiness.
The ethos of Central Park II is echoed in the words of its Managing Director, Amarjit Bakshi: "This thought that we must enable life, we must protect life, we must give our children a place to grow and play, serves as an impetus towards investing in such unusual developments. We endeavour, through all our projects, to meet the high expectations of our homeowners - to give them the assurance and security that they are investing in a development where their aspirations will reach fruition."
In today's stressed city living, to have a home overlooking 20 acres of green in the heart of the NCR seems a happy outcome in itself. To have that green expanse car-free, points to upping the "happiness quotient" even further.

We certainly live in interesting technological times. And no more interesting than the current competing IoT standards for connectivity. Various standards bodies, approaches, and ecosystems are vying for mindshare and positioning for a competitive edge. It is clear that when the dust settles, we will have new protocols, evolved protocols, that will change the way we interact with devices and infrastructure. We will also have evolved web protocols, like HTTP/2, that will be changing the very core...

The cloud has transformed how we think about software quality. Instead of preventing failures, we must focus on automatic recovery from failure. In other words, resilience trumps traditional quality measures. Continuous delivery models further squeeze traditional notions of quality. Remember the venerable project management Iron Triangle? Among time, scope, and cost, you can only fix two or quality will suffer. Only in today's DevOps world, continuous testing, integration, and deployment upend...

The Internet of Things is a misnomer. That implies that everything is on the Internet, and that simply should not be - especially for things that are blurring the line between medical devices that stimulate like a pacemaker and quantified self-sensors like a pedometer or pulse tracker. In his session a...
