Zayo Group, LLC (“Zayo”), an international provider of Bandwidth Infrastructure services, has deployed a 100G wavelengths network from New York to Ashburn, Va. The new route provides diverse connectivity from the existing Zayo 100G route following the I-95 corridor.
The 100G route expansion will accommodate high bandwidth demand driven by cloud computing and financial customers in the region, and those needing diverse connectivity between New York and Ashburn. Zayo wavelengths will be able to originate and terminate add/drop 100G service capabilities at the following locations:
- 111 8th Ave., New York, NY
- 165 Halsey St., Newark, NJ
- 2401 Locust St., Philadelphia, PA
- 44470 Chilum Pl., Ashburn, VA
“Adding 100G wavelength service along this route will enable Zayo to provide diverse connectivity to New York and Ashburn area customers with the highest bandwidth demands,” says David Dunn, vice president of wavelengths at Zayo Group.
Zayo began offering 100G wavelength services across its U.S. network in 2012, and into European markets in 2013, with availability between London and Amsterdam. The 100G wavelength platform is operational in 28 U.S. locations, providing connectivity to key traffic aggregation points and IP nodes on intercity and metro routes including New York City, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., and the western corridor between Seattle and Los Angeles.
