INDIANAPOLIS, IN--(Marketwired - March 28, 2014) - Flagship Logistics Group today announced during Military and Veteran Caregivers Week, March 24-30, 2014 its continued strategic partnership with Wounded Warrior Project (WWP), Hiring our Heroes, and their very own Customer Care Center staffed with veterans, veteran caregivers and civilians.
Flagship Food Group, their parent company, has committed and donated $100,000.00 to support WWP's mission to honor and empower Wounded Warriors. They are also part of Hiring Our Heroes, a program of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation that was launched in March 2011 as a nationwide initiative to help veterans, transitioning service members, and military spouses find meaningful employment.
"We would like to reach out and inform the military community and veteran caregivers that we will continue our focus on hiring those that have given so much for our country as a small way of saying thank you for your service," said Bob Moran, CEO of Flagship Logistics Group. "We can only hope that many more companies continue to open their hearts and doors in the workplace to those that have given so much."
The goal of Flagship Logistics Group's Customer Care center on hiring military and veteran caregivers is to create a comfortable workplace -- adjustable desks, ergonomic chairs, headsets, talk to write software for those that need special assistance, plus much more. Their goal is to facilitate the hiring, training, and provision -- for as many veterans, care givers and civilians as possible -- of living wage jobs with ample opportunity for career advancement. Those hired for the customer care center will have the opportunity to learn skill-sets integral to call center operations, regardless of their disability. All this in an environment that encourages continued growth while providing support to succeed, even if it means care givers on-site for assistance. The call center is expected to field more than 50,000 calls per month to assist in management of workload, inbound, outbound, and blended customer service calling.
"At Flagship Food Group, our passion for food is complimented by our gratitude for the hard work and sacrifice of our nation's veteran and active duty military heroes," said Moran. "We salute these men and women."
