DATIS Completes the SSAE 16 (SOC 1) Type 2 Examination

TAMPA, Fla., March 31, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- DATIS has completed the Statement of Standards for Attestation Engagement No. 16 (SSAE 16 or SOC 1) Type 2 audit for its e3 Human Capital Management and Payroll Software as a Service.  This is the eighth year DATIS has completed the SSAE 16 or SAS 70, which was superseded by the SSAE 16 audit standard in mid-2011.

The Type 2 SOC 1 report (Reporting on Controls at a Service Organization) is an attestation standard that establishes the requirements and guidance for reporting on controls at a service organization relevant to user entities' internal control over financial reporting.  Erik Marsh, the Executive Vice President of DATIS stated, "These consistent audits reaffirm the DATIS commitment to high standards for security and controls."
