Lisa Dunavin Joins Cassidy Turley to Lead Atlanta Market

Veteran CRE Executive Brings 25 Years' Experience to Managing Principal Role

ATLANTA, April 1, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Cassidy Turley, a leading commercial real estate services provider in the U.S., announced today that effective May 1, 2014 Lisa Dunavin will join the firm as Managing Principal of Atlanta.

Ms. Dunavin will lead Cassidy Turley in Atlanta as the company continues to build its Atlanta platform, including expanding Capital Markets, Industrial Services and Property Management capabilities, among others.

"I am very excited to join one of the most dynamic firms in our industry and work with the great team of professionals in the Atlanta office and throughout the country," Ms. Dunavin said. "The Atlanta market has returned to growth-mode, and 2014 and 2015 are poised to be banner years. We will capitalize on both the market's and Cassidy Turley's momentum to further our market leadership position."

Cassidy Turley established its Atlanta presence in 2011 with the acquisition of Carter's brokerage and property management operations. Atlanta remains a critical part of the company's growth plans, CEO Joe Stettinius said, as Cassidy Turley continues to expand in strategic markets and in terms of providing a full range of integrated commercial real estate services. Ms. Dunavin joins a team that increased transaction volume 44% last year and has pursued and helped win significant assignments with SunTrust, the State of Georgia, Aaron's and Chick-fil-A.

"Lisa fully grasps our commitment to the Atlanta market," Mr. Stettinius said. "In addition to being a highly respected industry and community leader, she is the right person to bring our plans to fruition and guide our Atlanta operations. Her leadership will propel our efforts to provide both occupier and investor clients with the full spectrum of commercial real estate services."

Ms. Dunavin joins Cassidy Turley from Cushman & Wakefield, where she played a national leadership role with the firm's U.S. Project Leasing group and led the firm's Atlanta Project Leasing team. She brings more than 25 years of industry experience to Cassidy Turley with firms such as Trammell Crow Company, Hines and Equity Office Properties. Additionally, she has served as President of NAIOP's Georgia Chapter and won the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors' Alvin B. Cates Award, the organization's annual recognition for Atlanta's top real estate transaction. Recently, she was also recognized as one of Atlanta's Top 10 producers in the landlord category at the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors' 2014 Million Dollar Club awards banquet. Ms. Dunavin is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin.

"Lisa is a great addition to our Atlanta team, and I look forward to working with her as we continue to grow and thrive in the Southeast," said Doug Brandon, Cassidy Turley Regional Managing Principal. "Atlanta and the Southeast are among our highest priorities. Atlanta is a regional, national, and international business hub. It's a strategic market for Cassidy Turley not only due to its amazing growth and demographic patterns but also because our clients need us to be there."

Added Cassidy Turley Senior Managing Director Mike Shelly, "I've known Lisa and worked with her for two decades, and I know there is no better person to lead Cassidy Turley in Atlanta. She brings to Cassidy Turley an immense intellect combined with the ability to earn investor- and landlord-clients' trust, collaborate with tenant rep brokers to complete complex transactions and lead complex and diverse organizations. Her extensive and deep relationships within our industry and the broader business community, will open new doors for us and propel Cassidy Turley to new heights."

Fundamentally, SDN is still mostly about network plumbing. While plumbing may be useful to tinker with, what you can do with your plumbing is far more intriguing. A rigid interpretation of SDN confines it to Layers 2 and 3, and that's reasonable. But SDN opens opportunities for novel constructions in Layers 4 to 7 that solve real operational problems in data centers. "Data center," in fact, might become anachronistic - data is everywhere, constantly on the move, seemingly always overflowing. Net...
