IDT Wins Prestigious 2014 ACE Award for Industry-Leading Timing Solution

Integrated Device Technology, Inc. The award was presented by UBM Tech’s EE Times and EDN, two prestigious industry publications.

IDT’s 8T49N28x UFT family is the industry’s first single-chip programmable solution capable of generating eight different output frequencies with less than 300 fs RMS phase jitter over the standard 12kHz to 20MHz integration range. The devices offer independently-programmable clocking outputs with the flexibility to apply virtually any input frequency and select virtually any output frequency. The high level of integration and low jitter eliminates the need for separate jitter attenuation, frequency translation, and redundancy management – empowering engineers to save cost and board area through consolidation. These devices are ideal for high-performance optical networks, wireless base stations and 100 Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) interface applications.

Fully supported by IDT’s Timing Commander™ GUI (graphical user interface), the 8T49N28x family can be easily programmed to meet the system’s requirements without sifting through register tables in the datasheet. Additional GUI-based controls, calculations, and status monitors allow the user to experiment with and fine-tune the configuration. The IDT 8T49N281i, 8T49N282i, 8T49N283i are production-released and shipping in volume today. The 8T49N281i and 8T49N283i are available in a 56-lead 8 x 8 mm VFQFPN package, and the 8T49N282i is available in a 72-lead 10 x 10 mm VFQFPN package.
