Wallace will work closely with Magic Leap founder, President and CEO Rony Abovitz to oversee all aspects of marketing the company responsible for creating a proprietary human computing interface technology, known as Cinematic Reality™.
Brian Wallace is widely known for his success at previous technology companies that include industry innovators Google, Samsung and Blackberry (formerly Research in Motion). Wallace was accountable for various marketing roles during his 11 years at BlackBerry. There he was tasked with Google's Motorola brand strategy and execution, product marketing, retail strategy and execution among other initiatives. He most recently led the launch of the Moto X phone successfully positioning the phone as one of the most innovative consumer products of the year.
In Dec. 2012 Wallace was named to the Business Insider "17 People Who Redefined Advertising in 2012" list. In Nov. 2012 Wallace was named to the iMedia 25 Internet Marketing Leaders & Innovators list. In Nov. 2011 Wallace was named to the Advertising Age Marketer A-list.
"Brian brings zen intensity, deep focus, and an intuitive understanding of what people want" said Rony Abovitz, CEO, president and founder, Magic Leap. "I feel great about having Brian join our revolution to forever change the human computing experience in a wonderful and positive way."
"In all my years in technology I have never had a moment as profound as what occurred the day I first saw what Magic Leap has created," said Wallace. "I can't wait to work alongside Rony and the A-list team he has brought together to introduce to the world something truly revolutionary."
