Evolution1® – the nation’s largest electronic payment, on-premise and cloud computing healthcare solution built on a vision to simplify the business of healthcare – kicked off Partner Conference 2014 yesterday at the Disney World Dolphin Resort in Orlando, Florida. The seventh annual go-to industry event has drawn record attendance again this year, growing 30 percent over last year.
In his keynote address this morning, Jeff Young, chairman and CEO of Evolution1, highlighted Partner achievements from 2013, including that Evolution1 powers more than 20 private exchange solutions with its Defined Contribution solution, 1Plan by Evolution1®. Additionally he outlined market opportunities and upcoming product strategies and discussed the new industry-leading 1View by Evolution1®.
Accessible via the web or a mobile device, 1View automatically captures and categorizes healthcare expenses in a simple, dashboard view to provide consumers a consolidated picture of their healthcare expenses. With 1View, consumers are empowered to make better decisions about how to best use their healthcare dollars – from managing payments to meet today’s healthcare needs to planning and budgeting to make better decisions about future healthcare expenditures. For administrators, 1View reduces administrative costs by automating payments to consumers and providers and through increased auto-substantiation on card payments.
Partner Conference 2014 includes product keynotes, concurrent session tracks, and healthcare trends general sessions – presented by members of the Healthcare Trends Institute’s Advisory Board – that delve into top-of-mind industry topics. Pat Williams, senior vice president of the Orlando Magic, is the guest keynote speaker.
Partner Conference, which has become the “don’t-miss” industry event for Evolution1 Partners, is designed for executives, sales and marketing leaders, and administrators interested in growing and increasing the profitability of their business. The annual premier Partner event enables attendees to experience the entire Evolution1 ecosystem.
“We are committed to providing a superior value proposition to our Partners who day in and day out work with us to reduce costs and simplify the business of healthcare,” said Young. “Partner Conference gives us the opportunity to come together for an intense agenda of learning, networking, and celebrating.”
The event includes an awards dinner and program tonight to honor Evolution1 Partners, which includes large health plans, banks, payroll providers, private exchanges, and leading third-party administrators. Awards will be given for Partner achievements in several areas including evangelism, innovation, leadership, and customer service as well as overall outstanding Partner successes.
For every session survey completed at Partner Conference 2014, Evolution1 is donating $1 to Health Care Center for the Homeless (HCCH). Founded in 1993, HCCH has been caring for the under-served residents of Orange, Osceola, and Seminole Counties in Florida for more than 20 years. Last year HCCH served 14,205 individual patients through its health facility, the Orange Blossom Family Health Center.

In his session at Internet of @ThingsExpo, Jim Scott, Director of Enterprise Strategy & Architecture at MapR Technologies, discussed single-value, geo-spatial, and log time series dat...

The term culture has had a polarizing effect among DevOps supporters. Some propose that culture change is critical for success with DevOps, but are remiss to define culture. Some talk about a DevOps culture but then reference activities that could lead to culture change and there are those that talk about culture change as a set of behaviors that need to be adopted by those in IT. There is no question that businesses successful in adopting a DevOps mindset have seen departmental culture change, ...

The Domain Name Service (DNS) is one of the most important components in networking infrastructure, enabling users and services to access applications by translating URLs (names) into IP addresses (numbers). Because every icon and URL and all embedded content on a website requires a DNS lookup loading complex sites necessitates hundreds of DNS queries. In addition, as more internet-enabled ‘Things' get connected, people will rely on DNS to name and find their fridges, toasters and toilets. Acco...

Scott Jenson leads a project called The Physical Web within the Chrome team at Google. Project members are working to take the scalability and openness of the web and use it to talk to the exponentially exploding range of smart devices. Nearly every company today working on the IoT comes up with the same basic solution: use my server and you'll be fine. But if we really believe there will be trillions of these devices, that just can't scale. We need a system that is open a scalable and by using ...
