ORLANDO, FL -- (Marketwired) -- 04/04/14 -- Sonavation, a FIDO (Fast IDentity Online) Alliance sponsor member and pioneer and leader in advanced biometric authentication solutions leveraging patented ultrasound imaging and data encryption technologies, today announced its participation at the upcoming PAYMENTS 2014 conference. At the show, Sonavation will demonstrate AXISKEY, the company's personal biometric authentication key fob device, in Booth #704. The company's Chief Product Officer, Robert Stewart, will also present AXISKEY to a live audience in the PAYMENTS 3D Theater on the Exhibit Hall floor. The presentation takes place Tuesday, April 8 beginning at 9 a.m. and offers audience members an opportunity to experience AXISKEY firsthand via a live, interactive demonstration. PAYMENTS 2014 is taking place April 6-9 at the Orlando World Center Marriott in Orlando.
As mobile and online payment transactions continue to grow in volume and frequency and hackers become increasingly stealthy and savvy at online fraud, passwords and PINs have become wholly inadequate to protect our identities and transactions. Sonavation's patented ultrasound imaging and data encryption technologies are embedded within its AXISKEY smart key fob to read not just the surface fingerprint ridges and swirls, but also a dynamic map of the fingertip, thus setting a new technology and accuracy benchmark in biometric imaging technology. AXISKEY is a small, affordable smart key fob that safeguards an individual's personal, social, and workplace accounts, as well as their online identity and transactions with a simple swipe of their finger.
"It's abundantly clear that yesterday's technologies are simply inadequate to protect the personal identities and personal information of those making online transactions," said Robert E. Stewart, Sr., Chief Product Officer for Sonavation. "We've seen that mainstream biometric scanning technology can be easily duped by thieves and hackers, so we're really excited to show attendees at this year's PAYMENTS 2014 conference the breakthrough biometric imaging and authentication technologies we've embedded in AXISKEY to ensure a failsafe, one-to-one identity match to ultimately move us into a password-free world."

Scott Jenson leads a project called The Physical Web within the Chrome team at Google. Project members are working to take the scalability and openness of the web and use it to talk to the exponentially exploding range of smart devices. Nearly every company today working on the IoT comes up with the same basic solution: use my server and you'll be fine. But if we really believe there will be trillions of these devices, that just can't scale. We need a system that is open a scalable and by using ...
