LOUISVILLE, Ky., April 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- GOBankingRates recognizes Bill Rissel, President and CEO of its client Fort Knox Federal Credit Union, for his nomination as Credit Union Magazine's Credit Union Hero of the Year. Rissel is one of four nominees in the running for Credit Union Magazine's Credit Union Hero of the Year, which honors leaders who promote the credit union philosophy and principles, and are committed to making a difference in their communities.
Bill Rissel's service as Fort Knox Federal CU president and CEO spans 23 years. During that time, the Credit Union's assets grew from $117 million to $1.1 billion, with membership throughout central Kentucky and the world expanding to 800,000.
"My mantra for all 23 years I've been at Fort Knox Federal is 'Win, Win, Win,'" Rissel said. "We must always win for members in order for our organization to be successful; otherwise members won't do business with us. The credit union must win; otherwise it won't continue to exist. And our employees must win, because they make the organization work."
Voting is taking place at CreditUnionMagazine.com, and is open until May 1, 2014. The winner will be honored during the CUNA Conference in San Francisco this June.
