RIDGEFIELD, Conn., April 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Owl Computing Technologies, Inc., a network security and information solutions provider, is proud to announce that Software and Systems Development Manager Robb Zucker presented on the panel at last month's annual ARC Industry Forum.
During the address on February 13th, Zucker delivered an OPC Foundation presentation focused on industry standards and best security practices. Zucker highlighted Owl's successful installation at Saudi Arabia Fertilizer Company (SAFCO), an affiliate to Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), that secured industrial control information previously at risk to cyber-attacks. The installation is the first live implementation of Owl DualDiode OPC-DA and OPC A&E software in Saudi Arabia.
The 18th annual ARC Industry Forum was held February 10-13th in Orlando, Florida. The focus of this year's forum was "Industry in Transition: The Information Driven Enterprise in a Connected World." Owl's role in securing SAFCO with OPC technology served as a great representation of maintaining information connectivity in a secure, effective manner.
The presentation was very well received, drawing positive feedback from OPC Foundation president, Thomas Burke. While many in the audience were familiar with the issues and possible solutions, Zucker relayed that the biggest impact resulting from Owl's presence at the forum was, "helping individuals in attendance begin considering the technology as an application with practical use, and one that could secure information across a spectrum of industries."
