Global Personals Ltd Ranked 34 out of the Top 100 Companies with the Fastest-growing Profits in the UK and 2nd in South East of UK

WINDSOR, England and LONDON, April 15, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --

Britain's 100 private companies with the fastest growing profits were revealed this weekend in the 15th annual Sunday Times BDO Profit Track 100. Global Personals Ltd ranked number 34, going up six places from last year, beating Nando's, Dr Martens and Jamie's Italian to the place.

The only dating provider to be featured and one of few digital media companies in the list, Global Personals Ltd also came second in the South East league table.

Ross Williams, co-founder and CEO of Global Personals Ltd, said:

"We are thrilled that Global Personals Ltd has made this impressive list for another year - all credit goes to our hard-working team and fantastic network of partners, who have helped us build the business to where we are now in just 10 years. To come 34th in the UK is great, but we're particularly pleased to have the 2nd fastest-growing profits in the South East. We look forward to the future and have an exciting, innovative journey ahead."

Paul Eagland, partner and head of professional services at BDO, the title sponsor of the league table, commented:

"Britain endured the longest recession within the G7, yet entrepreneurial businesses in the region and across the UK are bouncing back more strongly than their international counterparts.

"The nation's most profitable companies have remained focused, positioning their businesses for - and helping to create - the economic recovery we are now witnessing."

The annual league table ranks companies according to growth in profits over the last three years of available accounts. The 100 companies grew their profits over the last three years by an average of 66% a year to combined profits of £1.6bn. Together they employ 93,800 staff, having added 31,200 employees to their workforce over the period, some as a result of acquisitions.

Docker offers a new, lightweight approach to application portability. Applications are shipped using a common container format and managed with a high-level API. Their processes run within isolated namespaces that abstract the operating environment independently of the distribution, versions, network setup, and other details of this environment.
