ARC Group Worldwide, Inc. Announces Online Quoting for 3D Printing

DELAND, Fla., April 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- ARC Group Worldwide, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARCW), a leading global provider of advanced manufacturing and 3D printing solutions, announced today its division, 3D Material Technologies, LLC ("3DMT"), launched an online quoting system for 3D printing on its website: www.3DMaterialTechnologies.com.  The online quoting system will provide customers with the ability to utilize 3DMT's wide array of 3D capabilities, including Fused Deposition Modeling ("FDM"), MultiJet Printing ("MJP"), Stereolithography ("SLA"), and Metal Laser Sintering ("MLS").

The new online quoting system accepts STL's and popular CAD formats for upload, and allows the user to select the process and material of their choice.  The integration of online quoting with 3D printing provides customers with a fast and efficient turnaround time for both production and prototype parts.  By utilizing online quoting, plastic components ship within days of submission, while metal parts ship within a week.  The 3DMT website provides details explaining each process and material type, enabling users to select the option that best meets their application and objective.

An additional unique feature of the online quoting process is the ability to select the build quality.  Standard Build Quality ("SBQ") balances the need for accuracy and surface finish with the speed of the build.  Projects requiring higher tolerances and/or improved surface finish can utilize the High Build Quality ("HBQ") option.  Finally, Engineered Build Quality ("EBQ") maximizes the process, material, build method, and design by utilizing the Company's proprietary expertise and multi-decade advanced manufacturing experience.
