BOSTON, April 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Eaton Vance California Municipal Bond Fund (NYSE MKT: EVM) (the "Fund"), a closed-end management investment company, today announced the earnings of the Fund for the three months ended December 31, 2013. The Fund's fiscal year ends on September 30, 2014.

For the three months ended December 31, 2013, the Fund had net investment income of $3,791,221 ($0.174 per share). In comparison, for the three months ended December 31, 2012, the Fund had net investment income of $3,754,100 ($0.173 per share).

Net realized and unrealized losses for the three months ended December 31, 2013 were $1,966,420 ($0.090 per share). In comparison, Net realized and unrealized gains for the three months ended December 31, 2012 were $86,466 ($0.004 per share).

On December 31, 2013, net assets of the Fund were $248,674,970. The net asset value per share on December 31, 2013 was $11.43 based on 21,756,186 shares outstanding.
