WALDORF, Md., April 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Community Bank of the Chesapeake is proud to support the Historic St. Mary's City's Capital Campaign to fund the construction of the Margaret Brent Pavilion. The Bank will donate $5,000 over the course of two years to the project.

This new facility will help the museum to fulfill its mission of bringing history to life for its visitors."
Located along the scenic St. Mary's River, the Brent Pavilion will provide shade and comfort to visitors while they enjoy lectures, concerts, demonstrations and educational programs for school-age children. When not in use by the museum, the pavilion will also be available for weddings and event rentals. Construction of the pavilion is expected to be completed by the end of summer 2015.
Historic St. Mary's City is a living history museum that allows visitors to experience Maryland's first years. Set in the 17th century, the museum includes a re-created plantation, Indian village, town center, chapel, statehouse and sailing vessel, The Maryland Dove.
