As the showcase event for a now fully connected retail industry, the # vadconext trade show will once again this year be offering an overview of the latest techniques being adopted across the sector, whether in the field of e-commerce, multi-channel distance selling, direct marketing, social media or e-logistics. Featured this year are a host of concrete solutions aimed at stakeholders across the commercial chain, be they companies with a background in traditional distance selling, pure plays or retailers. Organised jointly by La Poste, the Grand Lille CCI, SKEMA Business School, GL Events and their partners, #vadconext will be casting the spotlight on 4 central themes this year, namely Data, Commerce, Logistics and Customer Relations. # vadconext is set once again to host a rich programme of high-quality events supported by top-notch speakers, contributions from world-leading retailers, and an innovation area that has been redesigned and enhanced for an even more realistic experience of shopping in tomorrow's world.
vadconext: Reflecting the current and future

Gone are the days of building the shopping experience around a single channel. Today, the shopping experience is envisaged as a combination of all the interactions engaged in with a brand, whether through a store, an e-commerce website or a mobile application. Digital technology is the main driver of change in the retail sector, and is quickly closing the gap between physical and digital touch points. The digital and real worlds now not only coexist side-by-side, they overlap and interweave to offer consumers a more open, seamless and instantaneous experience. The Innovation Space: Home of innovative start-ups.
The Connected Innovation Village, coordinated by Pôle Ubiquitaire-EuraTechnologies, will host 20 regional start-ups – as well as several others from around France – selected for their innovative solutions in 4 areas of application in the field of connected commerce, namely: Smart Shopping Solutions, Digital Shopping, Social Shopping and Innovation Lab. The Innovation Lab, hosted by the CITC-EuraRFID, will be the showcase venue for innovations developed by research laboratories.
New Shopping Experience 5.0: Imagining new approaches to engaging
customers in a connected commerce environment - Hosted by PICOM.
Through its event entitled "New Shopping Experience 5.0", PICOM – the French competitiveness cluster for the retail sector – will provide visitors with a unique opportunity to experience new approaches to engaging customers in tomorrow's retail sector. Seven projects, developed by six innovative SMBs in collaboration with six major retail chains and a research laboratory, will be on exhibit. A technology showcase as well as a real laboratory for testing and conducting experiments on new approaches to engaging customers in stores, at home and on the move.

Addressing the question, "What’s next in retail?", the Conext Innovation Congress will serve as a forum for major retailers and international experts to share their vision of the future of retailing. Connected Objects, Big Data, and the current state of play in international retail are just some of the topics that will be addressed on Wednesday October 22.
Highlights of # vadconext 2014
The workshops, conferences and seminars scheduled for this year's # vadconext will focus on 4 key themes, namely Data, Commerce, Logistics and Customer Relations.
