Amadeus to Present IT Operations Analytics (ITOA) Solution at amasol Customer Day

The ITOA solution enables Amadeus to better understand performance of its Altéa Departure Control (DCS) - Flight Management (aircraft weight and balance) system and will be one of the featured presentations at amasol's upcoming Customer Day on May 14-15 in Dresden, Germany.

With an emphasis on maximum service availability, Amadeus sought an IT analytics solution to monitor and enhance performance of its Altéa Departure Control system utilized by more than 100 airlines worldwide. It required an automated solution that could provide holistic visibility into critical application performance and the ability to alert only on IT and business anomalies.

The amasol Customer Day will feature a variety of customer presentations, case studies and workshops -- much of it focused on what Gartner is referring to as IT Operations Analytics (ITOA) that are starting to enable large enterprises to better understand the business impact of IT.

According to Gartner, "IT operations analytics tools enable CIOs and senior IT operations managers to monitor their business operational data and metrics. The tools are similar to a business intelligence platform that business unit managers use to drive business performance. In his keynote address, Dr. Mendel will examine how data and information from various areas such as IT Infrastructure Management or Application Performance Management ITOA are increasingly using "big data" methods to enable a completely new IT Management approach that he calls IT Management 2.0.
