TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 04/29/14 -- In an historic show of unity, leaders and rank and file members from four unions in the Ontario Public Service will rally in front of the Ontario legislature to fight the Government's efforts to cut and claw-back income and benefits from employees, retirees and their families.
Two of the unions, AMAPCEO and ALOC (Association of Law Officers of the Crown) are currently in negotiations, and the others will be at the bargaining table later this year. All of four bargaining agents represent employees in the OPS and are publicly committing to support AMAPCEO and jointly fight austerity demands from government negotiators that seek devastating cuts to their members' salary progression, pensions and health and wellness benefits.
What: Rally to "Stop the Cuts" When: 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 Where: Front Lawn, Ontario Legislature Queen's Park, Toronto
