WEGO Health (www.wegohealth.com), an online network of consumer health opinion leaders, today announced the hire of Todd Kolm as Senior Vice President of Strategy and Insights. Kolm will assume responsibility for WEGO Health’s insights group in an effort to fully understand the perceptions, needs, barriers and opportunities of WEGO Health’s network of 65,000 patient influencers. He will also be tasked with developing strategies that enable the company to harness this vast pool of knowledge in service of forging meaningful connections with key organizations within the healthcare arena.

Kolm has over 17 years of digital health experience, most recently serving as the Vice President and Head of Global Digital Strategy at Sanofi, the French drug maker, where his worldwide responsibilities included the development of a strategy to infuse a unified digital mind-set to the company’s 110,000 employees. Prior to Sanofi, Kolm worked at Pfizer, the world’s largest pharmaceutical company, where he headed emerging channel strategy, guiding brand marketers to better understand patients in order to be able to deliver differentiation and value through digital, mobile, social and other emerging technologies.
Kolm has been a respected and persistent voice of the pharmaceutical industry’s need to put the patient at the center of its engagement efforts. He’s been a featured speaker at DTC National, ePharma Summit, Digital Pharma East, e-Patient Connections, and other prominent forums. In 2012 he was elected as a “Top 25 DTC Marketer” by DTC Perspectives.
