Celebrating Moose Jaw's Many Cultures

Federal funding supports the 40th Motif Moose Jaw Multicultural Festival

MOOSE JAW, SASKATCHEWAN -- (Marketwired) -- 04/30/14 -- Canadian Heritage

Government of Canada funding will support Motif Moose Jaw Multicultural Festival's annual event that celebrates and promotes all cultures within the community.

The Motif Moose Jaw Multicultural Festival is receiving funding of $4,100 through the Building Communities through Arts and Heritage program for its 2014 event.

The funding was announced today by Member of Parliament (Palliser) Ray Boughen, on behalf of Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages Shelly Glover.

--  The 40th Motif Moose Jaw Multicultural Festival will take place July 11-
    13, 2014, at Happy Valley Park in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.
--  This three-day outdoor festival will offer a variety of arts and crafts
    activities, as well as musical and dance performances representing
    various cultures of people in the area.
--  The festival will showcase the work of 180 artists and artisans, and
    approximately 5,000 people are expected to attend.
