PagerDuty, an operations performance platform for operations and engineering teams, today announced the launch of single sign-on (SSO) with Okta, onelogin and Ping Identity. PagerDuty gives their thousands of customers visibility across their global operations to resolve problems faster and deliver a superior customer experience. This launch now extends PagerDuty’s platform integrations to over 75 partners, which includes NewRelic, Splunk, Amazon Web Services and Zendesk.
Access to business-critical applications within the enterprise is increasingly important as the volume of applications and systems to manage has grown. By using a single sign-on provider, PagerDuty administrators now have the ability to manage user access centrally using their existing identity management tool.
"With just a couple of clicks, global operations teams have access to
business-critical applications and systems that impact the customer
experience. Controlling access is increasingly important as the volume
of these systems increases and reliability and security continue to be
key priorities for IT organizations. SSO makes managing that access even
easier for PagerDuty customers."
– Alex Solomon, founder and CEO, PagerDuty
Key capabilities with SSO:
Efficiently Manage User Access. Using an SSO provider with PagerDuty makes it easy to revoke or change access as people or teams change within the enterprise.
Enable One-Click Log In. Can’t remember all of the passwords you use for the increasing volume of tools you use? Or maybe it’s because you just reset them all due to Heartbleed? Now users have one less password to use, change or remember.
Easily Add PagerDuty Users. Simply provide users access to the PagerDuty app via your SSO provider and user accounts will be auto-provisioned when they first login to PagerDuty.
“PagerDuty integrates with all monitoring tools to streamline incident
management via one application. With Okta, PagerDuty customers can
streamline provisioning and deprovisioning of user accounts for hundreds
of applications from a single entry point.”
– Chuck Fontana, VP Corporate & Business Development, Okta
”By integrating PagerDuty with OneLogin, globally distributed teams can
work better together by having a single place to access all their
critical enterprise applications. All apps are conveniently accessible
from OneLogin’s single sign-on portal where they can be launched with
one click. No need to remember URLs, usernames or passwords. With
OneLogin mobile, a single click is all it takes to access your web apps
– in the cloud and behind the firewall.”
– Josh Greene, VP Business Development, OneLogin
“The ability to centrally administer credentials to thousands of
applications is critical for the enterprise. PagerDuty gives businesses
a unified view of their systems and people and we’re excited to partner
with them to deliver a single, access point to all their applications
via a secure SSO solution that can support any enterprise use case.”
– Mike Kane, Director of Business Development – SaaS Alliances, Ping Identity
