TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 05/07/14 -- Mala Go-tique, a Toronto, ON based fashion solution for women and kids, is launching a unique concept in Toronto, with the recent unveiling of a new mobile fashion store - in the form of a truck.
Known for her personal styling amongst her clients, owner Lauren Wise decided it was time to bring more options to the GTA area, while cultivating her fashion sense to a greater audience. Being a single mother and full-time employee of her brick and mortar boutique, Wise is very familiar with the obstacle of fitting shopping into an already busy schedule. This was the stimulus behind her decision to meet the needs of busy moms, and their kids, with a fashion truck.
Leveraging the success of the food truck concept, Wise has created a unique shopping experience for customers without them having to go to a mall or actual storefront. What seemed to be an easy enough task turned into a 8-month project creating a fully functional boutique out of a Ford E-450. The transformation required a complete makeover, which includes a custom build out of wardrobe racks, pullout drawers, and accessory shelves.
Customers can book Mala Go-tique to come to any location to throw a 'My Mala Style' party, complete with their favorite fashionable styles already loaded in the truck. The vehicle has a private dressing room inside to allow guests to try-on clothes as they shop.
Mala Go-tique's main focus is providing the GTA with the latest trends from hard-to-find brands not available anywhere else in Toronto. The boutique will travel around the GTA, popping up shop on the streets, at festivals, fundraisers, business offices or private at-home shopping events. MALA Go-tique will also be outfitted with a GPS tracker, which can be accessed through the website allowing customers to find the boutique as it travels throughout the city.
Wise comments, "I absolutely love fashion, but I wanted to do something different. I thought, 'Why not take fashion to the streets? Literally!' And then I came up with what is now Mala Go-tique."
Brands Mala Go-tique will include several coveted designs from Aviator Nation, Twenty, Vintage Havana, Nununu, Malibu Sugar, Addison, Stateside, Sol Angeles, and Rebel Yell. Mala Go-tique offers on-trend merchandise with an incredible shopping experience. Customers who step inside the Mala Go-tique fashion truck are literally stepping into a mobile closet. With inventory changing every week, customers have so much to choose from.
Mala Go-tique's Launch Event will offer guests a first look at one of the GTA's first mobile boutiques, while enjoying music, a henna station, and a Pinterest Fashion Influencer who will be on hand to style customers for their chance to win a $200 gift card to use at Mala Boutique or Mala Go-tique. Ceramic Glaze will be providing a takeaway gift at the launch. The event takes place on May 23rd from 11:30-8pm and May 24th from 10am-6pm, at the corner of Queen and Soho Streets and is open to the public.
