LAS VEGAS, NV -- (Marketwired) -- 05/07/14 -- Varonis Systems, Inc., (NASDAQ: VRNS), the leading provider of software solutions for unstructured, human-generated enterprise data, is showcasing its unique portfolio in the Solutions Arcade at EMC® World 2014. The Varonis solutions utilize a patented metadata framework to enable IT and end users to better secure, manage, collaborate, and derive value from their organizations' rapidly growing stores of human-generated data, including documents, spreadsheets, presentations, media files, and other valuable business data. Varonis, a Select partner in the EMC Technology Connect Program, will be showing their solutions in booth 244 at the event in Las Vegas.
Of particular interest to EMC World attendees, Varonis announced last fall its integration with EMC's Isilon® Scale-Out NAS, enabling organizations to achieve new levels of visibility, intelligence and control of their rapidly growing volumes of unstructured data. The integration utilizes Varonis software with the Isilon family of storage systems to deliver enterprise-class features in a cost-effective package. In addition to the Varonis booth, Varonis will be demonstrating its solutions with EMC in the Isilon section of the main EMC exhibition area.
"We've heard from a lot of people, both at past EMC World events and in the course of our regular business, asking us about using Varonis to manage data stored in their Isilon environments," said David Gibson, Varonis VP of Marketing. "We're very excited to be able to meet that demand and to be able to showcase it here at EMC World 2014."
Together, EMC Isilon and Varonis provide organizations with control over the files stored, including better visibility into permissions and a complete record of access activity including who opened, created, moved, and deleted files. The integration also allows for detailed recommendations into where access can be reduced as well as risk assessments of critical data, identification and involvement of data owners on remediation efforts. Specifically, Varonis works as the audit and reporting engine, while EMC Isilon Scale-Out NAS provides the data feed.
Sam Grocott, Vice President, Product Management and Marketing, EMC Corporation, said, "As the volume of unstructured data explodes, customers are faced with a challenge in securely accessing and managing critical files. Varonis solutions have been helping customers confidently solve these issues by enabling better visibility, control and collaboration."
The Varonis® Metadata Framework non-intrusively collects critical metadata, generates metadata where existing metadata is lacking, pre-processes it, normalizes it, analyzes it, stores it, and presents it to IT administrators and business owners. Once data owners are identified, they are empowered to make informed authorization and permissions maintenance decisions, which are then executed with no IT overhead or manual back end processes.
