Techno Security and Forensic Investigations Conference Sets New Record as Industry’s Largest Event

The 2014 Techno Security and Forensic Investigations Conference will break its previous year’s attendance records; more than 1,500 delegates have already registered and the vendor exhibit hall is sold out. For the second consecutive year, Nuix will host the annual conference, held in Myrtle Beach, S.C. from June 1–4.

“Techno Security maintains its position as the largest and most influential digital investigation and security conference globally, as this year’s record-breaking numbers make clear,” said Don Withers, President, The Training Company. “Unlike other shows, we are vendor-neutral which allows us to be open to all relevant innovators.

“We’re very excited to again have Nuix serve as the host sponsor. Nuix’s reputation has been instrumental in attracting industry experts from such organizations as the Department of Homeland Security, the US Secret Service, and INTERPOL.”

The conference will deliver insights from public-sector agency leaders, private-sector insiders and technologists. These experts will explore emerging security trends and exchange real-world strategies for responding to current challenges.

Nuix will deliver formal training classes and hands-on labs for investigation professionals looking to expand their digital forensic and cybersecurity skills.

“We are really looking forward to once again hosting the Techno Security and Forensic Investigations Conference,” said Dr. James Kent, Nuix’s Global Head of Investigations and Security. “As data continues to increase in volume, so do the challenges of processing, searching and analyzing large and complex human-generated data sets. The information and skills offered at Techno Security will help security and investigations professionals solve these complicated problems.”

Confirmed keynote speakers include:

  • Dr. Peter Fonash, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at the Department of Homeland Security
Dr. Peter Fonash is the CTO for the Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Communications organization. He previously held roles at the National Communications System, AT&T and the Burroughs Corporation.
  • A.T. Smith, Deputy Director of the United States Secret Service
A.T. Smith has developed and implemented policy for all United States Secret Service criminal investigations related to counterfeit currency, and financial and electronic crimes. He has managed multiple investigative divisions and more than 160 U.S. and international offices.

“We congratulate The Training Company for making Techno Security bigger than CEIC and ADUC combined,” said Eddie Sheehy, Nuix’s global CEO. “This reflects their inexhaustible passion to protect, serve and educate US Law Enforcement and Defense organizations as cost effectively as possible.”
