Polar Pro Introduces Kickass Combo Pack of Filters and Lenses for GoPro® Cameras

Polar Pro (#polarpro), a leading manufacturer of accessories designed to improve the GoPro® (#gopro) filming experience (#goprooftheday), today introduced Venture3+, its 3-pack of high-quality filters and lenses. Designed to deliver vibrant and superior videos in any environment and to cover a wide range of applications, the Venture3+ combo pack features a Polarized Filter (#polarizer), Neutral Density Filter (#neutraldensity) and Macro Lens (#macrolens) and is available for Hero3+ waterproof camera housings (SKU: P1015/MSRP: $59.99). The Venture3+ combo pack and all other Polar Pro products are now available on BestBuy.com at http://bit.ly/Q6Qmeb.

All filters in the Venture3+ combo pack are part of a brand new line and feature stronger and more optically clear glass, which provides a higher quality product compared to acrylic and resin lenses. The ABS plastic frame is overmolded to provide the ultimate protection for the encapsulated glass, which helps to avoid lens breakage and protects the lens on the GoPro camera from dirt, dust and scratches. Saving $29.98 off of what it would cost to buy all three lenses individually, the combo pack is the perfect addition to any action sports, extreme sports, GoPro athlete or filming enthusiast’s bag of accessories.

Uses for each filter and lens in the Venture3+ combo pack:

  • Polarizer Filter: Perfect for filming outside, the polarizer reduces unwanted reflections, especially when filming on bright days in the snow or near water. The polarizer also increases color saturation to make colors look even more vibrant. It equally removes the glare off shiny surfaces.
  • Neutral Density Filter: Creates a motion blur by slowing down the camera’s shutter speed to illustrate high-speed movement. The filter also reduces the “jello” effect that happens when the camera is mounted to vehicles with high vibration.
  • Macro Lens: Offers a new perspective to users’ videos by enabling crisp, razor sharp close-up shots (3.8X magnification) rather than the standard wide-angle GoPro shots.

Specifically customized for GoPro Hero 3+ cameras, Polar Pro filters feature sleek, cutting-edge designs. For units with the waterproof housing, Polar Pro filters and lenses feature patented snap-on and quick release functionality. This allows users to quickly attach and remove a filter. For units without the housing, Polar Pro filters use a “pressure fit,” which attaches to a camera outside of the housing for quick installation and removal.

“We took in a lot of customer feedback, three months of heavy R&D and twenty four design revisions before releasing this product,” said Jeff Overall, founder, Polar Pro. “Our deal with BestBuy.com solidifies that we’ve developed some of the world’s best filters and lenses for GoPro cameras.”

The term culture has had a polarizing effect among DevOps supporters. Some propose that culture change is critical for success with DevOps, but are remiss to define culture. Some talk about a DevOps culture but then reference activities that could lead to culture change and there are those that talk about culture change as a set of behaviors that need to be adopted by those in IT. There is no question that businesses successful in adopting a DevOps mindset have seen departmental culture change, ...

How do APIs and IoT relate? The answer is not as simple as merely adding an API on top of a dumb device, but rather about understanding the architectural patterns for implementing an IoT fabric. There are typically two or three trends: Exposing the device to a management framework Exposing that management framework to a business centric logic Exposing that business layer and data to end users. This last trend is the IoT stack, which involves a new shift in the separation of what stuff happe...
