Intel-GE Care Innovations™ and iHealth Partner to Make Home Health Monitoring Easier, Connect the Care Continuum to the Home

Intel-GE Care Innovations™ and iHealth Lab, Inc. today announced a partnership that will integrate consumer-friendly iHealth* vital sign monitoring products into the Care Innovations™ Connect Platform for remote care management. The Care Innovations Connect Platform lets clinicians and care managers connect with patients in their homes to actively manage chronic conditions to potentially reduce emergency room visits and hospital admissions. The integration of the iHealth peripherals into the Care Innovations solutions helps remove the cost and complexity traditionally associated with using medical-grade monitoring devices to facilitate patient care in the home.

“Our partnership with iHealth underscores our commitment to connecting the care continuum to the home, which we firmly believe is necessary for improving health outcomes, especially for risk-bearing entities,” said Sean Slovenski, chief executive officer, Intel-GE Care Innovations. “iHealth Lab’s FDA-cleared products make health monitoring easier and more cost-effective at home, which will help break down the traditional technology and cost barriers associated with remote care from the home.”

The Care Innovations Connect Platform is a cloud-based application that can significantly reduce the complexity and cost of deploying a clinically driven remote care management program. The Connect RCM patient application facilitates the collection and transmission of daily biometric data measurements and provides access to clinician-directed health sessions, videoconferencing, and interactive education delivery. Through cloud-based API connectivity, data collected from the iHealth products will be integrated into Care Innovations Connect Platform to enable clinicians to access patient vital sign data from the home to provide timely and meaningful clinical interventions.

“The Care Innovations Connect cloud-based remote care management platform is a great way to bring value to the data collected by iHealth’s monitoring devices. Our simple and consumer-friendly designs make it easy to capture, upload and log important vital sign data and enable it to be shared with both clinical and informal caregivers through a single platform,” said Adam Lin, president of iHealth Lab, Inc. “This partnership brings our proven solutions directly to healthcare enterprises to cost-effectively connect consumers to their care teams via Care Innovations’ proven platform.”

Care Innovations will have the ability to integrate data from the full range of iHealth Lab wireless devices including blood pressure monitors, weight and body analysis scales, smart blood glucose monitors, and pulse oximeters. Care Innovations uses data and insights collected from the home monitoring to shape and implement cloud-based population health engagement programs.
