Credit Union 1 to Implement Alkami’s ORB Platform to Enhance Member Experience

Alkami Technology Inc., a provider of digital banking solutions, announced that Anchorage, Alaska-based Credit Union 1 has selected Alkami’s ORB Platform to provide its more than 76,600 members with an updated platform that ensures consistency between its physical branches and digital channels. The new platform will seamlessly integrate with the credit union’s existing core solution from D+H.

Credit Union 1 selected the ORB Platform to replace its existing system and provide its member base with a modern digital banking experience consistent with the service received at its branches. In addition, the new platform delivers a consistent omnichannel experience that enables members to seamlessly monitor their accounts on a daily basis using their preferred channel. The credit union also anticipates the new platform to better support members’ needs by equipping them with the tools and resources necessary to better manage their monetary transactions. Furthermore, Alkami’s platform will ultimately improve member communication, thus enhancing service.

“Branches are never going away. What will and is changing, however, is how we bank,” said Tom Newins, president and CEO of Credit Union 1. “More than half of our members are online, but they still expect the same level of service as what they receive at the branch. With Alkami’s ORB platform, we’ll be able to provide superior service and help our members make smarter financial decisions – regardless of whether they choose to interact with us online or in person.”

Alkami’s ORB Platform is the ultimate digital banking platform, delivering an omnichannel banking experience with consistency across all channels. As a single digital banking platform, it strengthens service, effectively promotes products and services, improves member support, and heightens security. Alkami provides the ORB Platform as either a license or SaaS solution.

“At Alkami, we continue to bring ‘The Ultimate’ in digital banking to the marketplace by enabling financial institutions like Credit Union 1 to significantly enhance and simplify the user experience of their digital banking channels,” said Stephen Bohanon, founder, chief strategy and sales officer of Alkami Technology. “As banking continues to evolve and consumers expect superior convenience and flexibility, Credit Union 1 will continue to be a leader and an innovator, and we look forward to being a part of their journey.”

“Oh, dev is dev and ops is ops, and never the twain shall meet.” With apoloies to Rudyard Kipling and all of his fans, this describes the early state of the two sides of DevOps. Yet the DevOps approach is demanded by cloud computing, as the speed, flexibility, and scalability in today's so-called “Third Platform” must not be hindered by the traditional limitations of software development and deployment. A recent report by Gartner, for example, says that 25% of Global 2000 companies will b...
Big Data is amazing, it's life changing and yes it is changing how we see our world. Big Data, however, can sometimes be too big. Organizations that are not amassing massive amounts of information and feeding into their decision buckets, smaller data that feeds in from customer buying patterns, buying decisions and buying influences can be more useful when used in the right way. In their session at Big Data Expo, Ermanno Bonifazi, CEO & Founder of Solgenia, and Ian Khan, Global Strategic Positi...

Sensor-enabled things are becoming more commonplace, precursors to a larger and more complex framework that most consider the ultimate promise of the IoT: things connecting, interacting, sharing, storing, and over time perhaps learning and predicting based on habits, behaviors, location, preferences, purchases and more. In his session at @ThingsExpo, Tom Wesselman, Director of Communications Ecosystem Architecture at Plantronics, will examine the still nascent IoT as it is coalescing, includin...

Thanks to Docker, it becomes very easy to leverage containers to build, ship, and run any Linux application on any kind of infrastructure. Docker is particularly helpful for microservice architectures because their successful implementation relies on a fast, efficient deployment mechanism – which is precisely one of the features of Docker. Microservice architectures are therefore becoming more popular, and are increasingly seen as an interesting option even for smaller projects, instead of bein...
The explosion of connected devices / sensors is creating an ever-expanding set of new and valuable data. The truth is, today’s databases are anything but agile – they are effectively static repositories that are cumbersome to work with, difficult to change, and cannot keep pace with application demands. Performance suffers as a result, and it takes far longer than it should to deliver new features and capabilities needed to make your organization competitive. As your application and business needs change, data repositories and structures get outmoded rapidly, resulting in increased work for applica...
