Foursum Selected as Official Statistics Partner for the Maple Leaf Junior Tour

Dedicated to growing the game of golf, Foursum aims to help enhance the golf experience for junior players; offering better statistics management & community integration.

MONCTON, NEW BRUNSWICK -- (Marketwired) -- 05/23/14 -- Foursum, the all-in-one mobile app that allows golfers to manage their game while connecting with friends, announced today that they have been named the official stats source of the Maple Leaf Junior Tour. The Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour (MJT), a non-profit association, is Canada's only national junior tour run exclusively by members of the Professional Golfers Association of Canada.

The Maple Leaf Junior Tour helps young golfers on their journey towards college-level golf. Through this partnership with Foursum, players will be able to input their stats into an interface designed to not only help keep score of their gameplay, but also to help improve their game through sophisticated statistical analysis and the integration of player/coach feedback.

Louis Melanson, PGA of Canada Professional and Foursum Co-Founder has been coaching the sport for 18 years. "The social integration we've developed allows college coaches the opportunity to view, analyze and assess students gameplay," he explained. "We're giving young golfers a better chance of being noticed -- of making a college team. That's pretty special."

Foursum CEO and Co-Founder Matt Eldridge is extremely passionate about helping grow the game of golf, specifically at the junior level. "Knowing we can help young players improve their game, and in turn their chances of making it to the college level, is a spectacular feeling," he said.

"The Maple Leaf Junior Tour and Foursum are extremely well aligned, especially as it relates to our mutual passion for growing the game of golf," explains MJT Executive Director Murray Poje. "Technology is enhancing the way we educate young golfers and the support of partnerships like this one helps keep the game of golf innovative and exciting."

First launched in 2013, Foursum was designed to help young and seasoned golfers alike to improve their game, while adding modern new social and technical elements to keep things fresh and fun.

Foursum is thrilled to be supporting the MJT in this initiative to help further the development of young golfers. Foursum is free on both iOS and Android devices and is accessible through the App Store and Google Play.
