MIAMI, FL -- (Marketwired) -- 05/26/14 -- In March, Pascale's Pals hosted their 16th annual benefit auction at the Holiday Inn Executive Center in Columbia, Missouri. Attending Guests were treated to an elegant dinner, followed by a fun night of dancing to the unique musical blend of Blues, R&B, Jazz, Big Band and Soul by the Norm Rubling Band. Undoubtedly the highlight of the evening was the silent auction accompanied by cocktails and social mingling, during which exclusive luxury items were sold. Every cent that was made throughout the event -- from tickets to donations, from sponsor advertisements in the printed auction program to money raised through the auction -- is used to support the Children's Hospital, the main cause of Pascale's Pals, Inc., a non-profit corporation developed to benefit the children and families staying at said hospital.
Florida-based businessman and philanthropist, Matt Argall along with his wife Maya, have been generously donating to Pascale's Pals for the last five years and are happy to see how the money is put to use. "The organization has been helping families whose children have to stay in the hospital. With the support of Pascale's Pals, some of the stress and burden that both, the child and the parents, experience through these often traumatic times, can be relieved. Over the years, Pascale's Pals has built a playground, furnished all 34 rooms in the Women and Children's Hospital with flat screen TVs, DVD players and Wii systems and donated sleeper beds and chairs in all rooms, so parents can comfortably stay with their sick kids," Matt explains.
It is not only the idea of helping families in need that motivates Matt Argall to continuously support the organization, he actually has a very personal connection to it: Pascale, the foundation's namesake, is Matt's maternal cousin. At the age of two, Pascale was diagnosed with acute leukemia. What followed was a long and hard battle against the cancer. After many courses of treatment and a serious relapse in 2000, Pascale is now doing very well and has developed into a happy and successful college student. "To witness what she has been through and see where she is today really warms my heart," says Argall. "And I am proud that now that Pascale is doing so well, she and my aunt - who founded Pascale's Pal - are helping other families who are going through difficult times." Matt's parents have also been big supporters of the foundation and its mission, working hard to get the word out about the good deeds done by the organization and how others can get involved.
Matt Argall is a successful entrepreneur who lives in Miami, Florida, with his wife Maya and their little son.
