Stryker Education Channel and Calendar Nears 2500 Registered Users

The number of visitors and professional registrants to the Stryker Education Channel and Education Calendar continues to grow steadily in 2014. The video-focused channel designed as a centralized location for Stryker Endoscopy Video content now has 2,440 confirmed registrants. More than 25% of those visitors have identified themselves as Physicians. None of the registrants are Stryker employees, as Stryker has enacted an Active Directory for easier access to the site.

The Stryker Education Channel launched to the public on March 26, 2013. The site http://educationchannel.stryker.com/ can be accessed from the Stryker.com Education & Training area and contains more than two dozens pieces of surgical video and didactic presentations from key opinion leaders focusing on the use of Stryker Endoscopic technology in the specialty areas of OB/GYN, Orthopaedics, General Surgery and Colorectal. Through a steady series of Audience Generation Campaigns and Physician Targeted Email Campaigns directed by BroadcastMed, the channel traffic has remained consistent with a total of 43,244 Unique Entrances to the Channel since inception. Of that total number of site Entrances, the Stryker Education Calendar, which contains listings of more than 150 Professional Education and Training Opportunities, Association Meetings and Skills Courses, covering over 20 Surgical and Clinical Specialty areas, has accounted for 11,500 Unique Pageviews.

The greatest amount of qualitative data for the Education Channel can be extracted from the registration database. The individual data contains name, email address, city, state, country, zip/postal code, hospital affiliation, area of interest/specialty, “describe yourself” (physician, PA, nurse, allied healthcare professional, student, patient, other), and an Opt-In for determining if viewers would like to receive more information from Stryker.

Some of the highlights from the data analysis illustrates:

• 487 Nurses, Allied Health Professionals, Hospital Admins.

• 735 Students and Educators

• 68 Marketing & Business Development Associates

• 540 Patient/Caregiver/Other

• 1570 registrants are US based/869 OUS

• 1419 have requested more information from Stryker

The audience for the channel is quite diverse from a geographical perspective. An assessment of the registration data finds viewers from 110 different counties, including:

• 254 -– UK and Europe

• 135--- India and Pakistan

• 132 ---Middle East and Africa

• 116 --- China, Japan, SE Asia, Mainland Asia

• 81 ---- Mexico, Central and South America

• 65 ---- Middle East and Africa

In addition, traffic to the site has come from a combination of sources. The majority has come directly from Stryker.com, while a large audience has also come from Audience Generation Campaigns and Physician Targeted Email Campaigns directed by Stryker’s partnership with BroadcastMed.
