Single moms make impact
Lovely Mitchell, 31, and her mother, Sandi Fleming, 47, are proof that hard work and ambition combined with courage make a powerful combination for a small business owner. After getting pregnant as a teenager, Sandi graduated from high school and supported herself and her young daughter by opening a nail salon. Lovely, who also had a child in her teens, graduated from high school and also became an entrepreneur.
They recently teamed up to buy a PostNet in Tempe, Arizona. Lovely staffs the store, and Sandi spends time in the community educating business owners about ways they can market themselves effectively. Their goal is to build their business by helping others grow and prosper.
Longtime printing pro joins PostNet
Most new PostNet owners don't have a lot of printing experience. Michael Looby is a big exception. He has offered printing and graphic design services for three decades to everyone from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies, but he was ready to be part of a bigger organization that could offer more services.
