Run For Heroes Kid's Marathon Debuts at Run For 'Super' Heroes 5K

Run For Heroes Marathon Race weekend adds a Kid's Marathon to the race weekend September 20/21

RunningFlat announces the new Run For Heroes Kid's Marathon added to the successful Run For 'Super Heroes' 5K Run.

The Kid's Marathon is open to any school age child that is willing to raise $50 in pledges for the Alzheimer Society of Windsor and Essex County, but they must be able to run 41km with their parents or guardian between now and September 20th. "Kids can run or walk 500M a day for 82 days or 1Km a day for 41 days or any variation of that to come up with 41K," explains Chris Uszynski, Race Director. The child must log all their activity and get it signed off and join the rest of the young marathoners the weekend of the Run For Heroes Marathon, At the Run For 'SUPER" Heroes 5K Run, run or walk the last kilometer and get a Marathon Medal.

"The Run For 'SUPER' Hero 5K is a totally amazing 5K that has been held in the core of Amherstburg for three years. Runners and walkers from around North America join us to celebrate the Hero in all of us. Adding the Kid's Marathon to it this year is going to be amazing to watch," said Uszynski.

Each child must register on line at They must register at no cost, download the pledge form and follow the instructions and fill out their activity. Bring the form and money to the race and finish their Marathon.
