Mr So to Become Airport Authority Head in June 2015
Hong Kong, May 30, 2014 - (ACN Newswire) - In response to media enquiries, Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) Chairman Jack So has made the following statement:
"I'm honoured to be reappointed as HKTDC Chairman, and it's my pleasure to serve the Council for another eight months. My successor Mr Vincent Lo is the right choice. I believe that he will lead the Council to make even more contributions to Hong Kong's economic development by further expanding Hong Kong's external trade in goods and services."
Mr So will take up the post of Airport Authority Chairman from June next year.
"I'm ready to face the new challenges at the Airport Authority. My priority is to maintain the leading position of Hong Kong International Airport as a global aviation hub. Tops on my list would be the development of a third runway system, which would enhance Hong Kong's competitiveness in the world economy and aviation transportation."
