VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwired) -- 06/06/14 -- Diamond Fields International Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:DFI) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Sybrand van der Spuy to the Board of Directors.

Mr. Sybrand van der Spuy's career-line has its foundation in an operationally focused military career as a Senior Officer spanning over 20 years. He has an extensive track record both in Africa and the Middle East, where his career has been focussed as an operational trouble shooter and managerial optimiser with a 14-year background in enterprise risk management, business continuity, security implementation and consultation. He has extensive exposure from policy formulation to operational systems implementation in critical infrastructure, hydrocarbons and mining industries, and provides an invaluable asset to the Board of Directors of the Company.
